Omala
OMALA (Ontwikkeling Maatschappij Airport Lelystad Almere N.V.) is responsible for the development of Lelystad Airport Businesspark. We are the connecting party between governments, landowners, entrepreneurs and users of the area.
As area developer, we focus on the commercial development of LAB, also on behalf of some private landowners for whom we act as delegated developer. In addition, we are executive land company: we realize the physical layout of the site. And as area director we create optimal conditions for establishment and stimulate an attractive business climate. Where necessary, we also support spatial procedures, such as coordinating building plans or applying for environmental permits.
Our ambition is clear: to develop Lelystad Airport Businesspark into a sustainable, high-quality business park. With plenty of space, greenery, excellent accessibility and proximity to urban facilities, we are strengthening the international competitive position of Flevoland, and that of Lelystad in particular.
History
Lelystad Airport Businesspark (LAB) arose from a clear ambition: to develop a future-proof business park in a unique location between the A6 and Lelystad Airport. In 2008, the municipalities of Almere and Lelystad, together with the province of Flevoland, joined forces in OMALA, the development company behind LAB.
LAB was established from the beginning as a national testing ground for sustainable area development. A place where smart mobility, circular economy, nature and modern activity come together. Here we build the work location of tomorrow, with international allure and local impact. Today LAB is growing into one of the most innovative and sustainable work locations in the Netherlands.
