LAST WEEK ONNO ZWART, DIRECTOR OMALA N.V. (DEVELOPMENT COMPANY OF LELYSTAD AIRPORT BUSINESS PARK (LAB)) AND SIMONE VELDT, MANAGER LELYSTAD CHALLENGE, SIGNED THE EXTENSION OF THE SPONSORSHIP CONTRACT WITH THE LELYSTAD CHALLENGE. THE LELYSTAD CHALLENGE IS AN INITIATIVE THAT CONNECTS LOCAL BUSINESSES AND SOCIAL ORGANIZATIONS. ITS AIM IS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF LELYSTAD RESIDENTS. <\/p>\n

OMALA has been a sponsor and partner of the Lelystad Challenge since 2019 and has already made many wonderful, sustainable matches for Lelystad. Nicole Moehring (pictured right) is office manager at OMALA and has been a volunteer with the Lelystadse Uitdaging for many years. She is responsible for the Lelystadse Uitdaging’s stuff bank and gives used items a second life. This contributes to sustainability and circular economy, something OMALA also has high on its agenda for the development of Lelystad Airport Businesspark. <\/p>\n

These are mostly companies from outside the region. Besides primarily providing employment for residents, it has added value for the city if we can also further connect these new companies to Lelystad in a social sense.
